I don’t know where you are in your copywriting business journey. You may have a thriving full-time business already.
If so, you might skip this article. Then again, read it. It could be fun to reminisce about the good old days. And who knows… you might just pick up some ideas you can use to free up some time.
But, if you’re just getting started and don’t have tons of time, this blog’s for you.
If you’ve been following the Reality Blog for the last year or so, you know that I’m growing a successful business while working a full-time job.
Yep… forty hours a week, workin’ for “the man.”
And you also know that it’s my goal to leave my job and write full-time.
But for now, copywriting is all in my spare time.
“Spare time?” you ask. “Who has ‘spare’ time?”
I felt the same way at one time. I was so busy, I was neck-deep in projects for the house when I wasn’t at work.
Or… so I thought.
But, let’s get honest here. If you really want to do something, you’ll find the time, somehow, somewhere.
It’s a matter of setting priorities and then sticking to them. One of the biggest time-wasters?
Television. That big one-eyed monster can suck up valuable time, if you let it.
Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing inherently wrong with watching the TV. You just need to regulate your time spent… just like you may do with your kids, if you have them.
“No, Bobby. You can’t watch any shows until your homework’s done!”
Same goes with social media. Of course, you already knew that, right?
Don’t worry. I’m not getting up on a soapbox here and spouting the evils of TV and Facebook. No… this is more important than that.
I’m going to show you some of the tools and techniques I’m using to build a copywriting business in my spare time. You’d be surprised how much you actually have.
I was.
And here’s how I put that time to use.
